    Green Star Frags

I have a large proliferation of what I think is Green Star Polyp (Pachyclavularia sp. - thanks to Scott for the ID) most of which is currently growing on a large chunk of rock near the top of my tank (see photo).

I would like to start breaking it up and spreading it around the lower portions of my tank and free up more the top portion for SPS frags.

What's the best method for fragging this stuff out and attaching it to rock/bottom?

Also, if anyone is local and interested in a frag or two please let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Green Star Frags

They form mats on the rock work....and anything else they can spread to. If you can get your fingers under a piece of mat you should be able to easily remove large chunks of them for relocation.

Thanks What's the best way to secure them in their new locations?

just pull out what ever rock you want to attatch it too....and just dry it off a lil bit to the area and put a lil drop of super glue....like gorilla glue is what I used and I never had any problems with it hurting the frag.....let it set for 15-20 seconds and gradually drop it back into the water slowly..you can do this method or simply pin the frag down with another rock and it will eventually take to it....I have some green star polyp in my tank and in my opinion...this stuff spreads pretty quick under the right light conditions...
