I found him under the bridge downtown (rimshot).
Ok, seriously, it is black with a grey blue stripe running the lenght of its legs. Its antenna are bright orange and its eyestalks are blue. I cant get a good pic of this, it was sold to me as a blue leg hermit (with 4 others that ARE blue legs but this little guy is different). I dont have any corals or anything to worry about now but what can you guys tell me about them? What kind are they, where are they from, Reefsafe or not? Thanks in advance for the info!!! Ira

Ira,
there are so many different types of hermits, and without a pic it is almost impossible to give a guess, which carries with it any validity. Try to get a pic and we might be able to better help you. Duncan.

I agree w/ duncan...kinda hard to get an ID unless you have a pic...FWIW though most hermits are reef safe but not snail safe :P
