    Congrats Tim!
I am sure you'll be happy with the Remora skimmer, and congrats on the new frags. You scared me there for a second with the "hammerhead", I thought you meant a shark...
The coral's common name is usually simply "hammer coral" and not hammerhead... ;)

PS. I agree with everyone that pics are really nice. Great job!
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Nice pics indeed! Enjoy the skimmer. It is what I have been running on my tank for over 5 yrs. I started with the box, too, but took it off after a year or so. I found in my particular case that it didn't really improve the performance. You may want to experiment in your system.

i decided to put a small activated carbon filter bag in the return( inside the pre-skimmer return) , with 2 euphyllia's in the tank i hear they may start chemical warfare, if im wrong the worst im doing is filtering some more.

Tim, I've never been to adventure aquarium and not sure I even heard of it. Where is it located?
Anyway, take some pics and post them here, I like to see what they got...
As far as your Euphyllias go, they usually don't harm members of their own family. Running carbon is a good idea, regardless, but I wouldn't do it just because of the euphyllias. ;)
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

hey gene, its in camden on the river between jersey and philly.

i'll take some pics, neat thing is the prefilter box i ordered with my remora has a chamber on the return side that the flow goes out of the bottom, and you can run a carbon bag in it, i dont know how effective it is as the water can go around the bag as well as through it... but its better than not trying.

Oh, I see... I never go that far soutn unless I am traveling somewhere like Florida, or visit my friend in Maryland.

As far as that carbon goes, it is OK to run it passively, meaning water going through it and around it. It is still takes out dissolved stuff out.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.
