GSP retracted not opened in 5 days

My green star polyps retracted 5 days ago and havent opened since. I am used to them retracting for a day maybe two at the most but now I am wondering what is going on. I checked my water parameters and this is what I have...

Nitrate.........0 ppm
Nitrite..........0 ppm
Ph...............8.2
Amonia.........0 ppm
Phosphate.....0 ppm
Calcium.........440 ppm
Alkalinity.......8 dKH = 143.2 ppm KH

I reviewed my notes from the past months and nothing has changed dramatically. Calcium is a little lower than normal but I dont think that is it. I have had my gsp colony for over 6 months and this is the first time it has acted this way. I have seen posts that people have said that their gsp's did this for a few days, but is a week common? How long before I take it out of the tank?
I currently do not have a quarentine tank set up as I have not added new corals or fish for some time and dont plan to, nor do I want to pay for the electric to keep it ready.

mine did that when my temp was way too high. the digital thermometer was off by 8 degrees.

Thanks for the idea, I tried to rule out the obvious by checking my water parameters.
I use two different thermometers and when I record my temp always use the reading from the same one yet double check against the other.

I had the same problem, they were closed up about a week or so - haven't noticed it since though.

After 8 days my GSPs finally started opening up. I was about to take them out but the first signs of life appeared. They are not as big and full as once was but I will give it a few days, hopefully they will return to normal.
