I found this crawling around. What is it? It eats algae and is pretty cool to watch. It doesn't seem to have a shell and I can't find any sites to ID it on.
Snail
Thanks.

It is a wonderful herbivore Stomatella sp. They do quite well in aquaria in terms of reproduction and you should see some more in the very near future.
PS. Some more information about them could be found in this article

Kind regards,

I agree with zhenya that it is Stomatella, probably S. varia. Those snails are dioecious (separate sexes), so you will have more only if you have at least one male and one female already. They reproduce easily in reef tanks but hermit crabs and even ornamental shrimp are a threat to their existence. For that reason, they are mostly nocturnal.
Ninong
I've only seen one at one time and it's not very often. I moved some rocks to my sump and yesterday I found him on the glass. Previously, I only saw it (or anotherone) twice, and it was at night. So I kinda think it's a loner, but we'll see... It is safe in my sump from crabs and shrimp now. It'd be nice to see more, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed.
BTW Thanks for the ID! I appreciate it![]()
