Changing bulbs

I need some input on the "safe" time parameters for changing light bulbs. I'ts been about a year and it is time to change my 150 watt hqi bulbs. I was planning on doing one a month. Is that ok? I change my 140 watt actinics 2x a year and it so happens that they were changed last month. Should I wait and change the hqi's every 2 months?
I'm trying to avoid algae blooms.
Let me hear some opinions,
Thanks,
Vic
