Does anyone use OCEAN CURRENTS wavemaking devices? Can they handle 1200 gph? Are they reliable? I'm eyeing the "rotating pulser." Looking for someone with experience with this gadget. THANKS! I also posted this on Reefcentral if anyone cares...

I dont have any personal experience but i believe the general agreement was that these are basically that you get what you pay for. Although a cheap alternative to a sea swirl not as reliable.

I agree with srgtkoons. I did a pretty good study on these thing about 6 months ago. There only 1/2" pipe so you can't put a lot of water through em. I saw a few of them on LFS and none of them were working. I went with two 1" Sea Swirls and could not be happier

Hey guys,
I disagree with you there. I have two oscillators and I'm very happy with them. I've had to clean them on a monthly basis, but I like the fact that they don't require any motors - I have enough wires hanging off my tank as it is. I don't think that a single unit (I've had both the rotator - junk and the oscillator - I like) could take 1200 gph, but I am probably putting 1200 - 1400 gph (I estimate) through two of them from my AmpMaster 3000. I think that the oscillator is a fine device. Dave
