brass valve??

i got a 5 cartridge RO/DI from air water and ice on here and they sent me a brass valve for the tap on the input water, now i know that this filter is supposed to produce pure water no metals or anything, but doesnt it seem counter productive to put into the flow something that needs filtered out? blow your memberanes faster?

should i use this valve? what about when the filters start wearing?

im good no brass at all!!

ok one more question, i've read that you make 1 gallon to 2 gallons wasted, this unit, when making water, isnt draining waste water anywhere it tells you to close the fast flush valve (drain valve) and the only water outlet is the pure water. is this correct?

So, are you saying that your unit does not create any waste water? Does it recycle it and then then run it thru the system again? I am not sure I understand????

the end that says drain line and flow restriction instead has a ball valve and instructions to close the valve all the way to produce the purified water.

ok nevermind again, another problem solved here and here only on RL ROFL

the "fast flush" valve i called a ball valve is in fact a 2 purpose item, its designed to restrict flow, but i can open it all the way and flush the system full speed, when closed it still lets water by i just looked down the drain at the drain line.

im ok now, headache has been dilluted by some cheap scotch!
