Haven't tried it, the store down the street from my house where I go to get dog food, and misc. fish stuff is remodeling, and they have a bunch of used stuff, she's not sure they have one, but I'm supposed to check back tomorrow or saturday to find out if they do and how much they want for it.....

Distilled versus RO/DI, which would be the best?????

I was using the so-called ro water out of the drinking machine at my high end publix grocery store around the corner, starting to get the blasted gha on some rock, switched to distilled for top off, I guess I'm gonna have to start buying the ro/di from my lfs till I can get a unit here at the house, I'm on a deep rock well here, anybody think that might pose problems????

nitrates are a bit high at 10 - 15 ppm, working on getting a sump/fuge going this weekend, and doing a massive (20 gallon water change) trying to get ahead of the hair algea before it gets too out of hand,

Charlie, what was the rabbit fish you have (think it was you) with the bluish lines in the face???? Don't they munch hair algea????

As far as the Rabbitfish goes, I think you may be better off asking Lee my friend. But remember, they get big. Isn't there a blenny that you could look into???

lb's are great! im actually missing mine in the dt. ive got some algae in it that i almost want to unbanish him from the fuge so he can clean my tank up

Damn i get the same water too,i havent seen any problems in my tank yet,but will prob get it from the lfs from now on too,no way i can put a ro/di unit in an apt hahaha

I'm fighting the good fight, got some cheato from my lfs and put it in the hot filter I use for carbon etc. and it seems to help some, haven't had the available cash to get the sump going yet, not sure when I will be able to......
