I'd like to add a blue maxima clam to my tank, a 60 gallon with 50 lb LR and 120 lb DSB. I use RO/DI water, and all of my parameters are perfect. I have only 260 watts of light. Is this enough light? Can I keep a clam in a tank like this?

Hi,
wattage isnt as important as what kind of lights you have. You must have Metal H. to keep the coloration what type of lighting are you using? ------------------ My Reef Tank :fish: |

I have pc only as well. I have kept the dereasa clams and Squamosa, but i have not attempted maximas yet i can tell you the clams i have are doing well and have been in the tank at least 9 months now. Remmeber if you try a Max. clam put him on the rocks and as close to the light as possible to keep your colors if they can survive under pc. Mabey some one who has tried them can chime in on this a sheds some light on it for us.HTH
