Stung by carpet anemone/ still hurts

hey guys, I was stung by a pretty big carpet the other day. About 6 days ago. At first it just burned quite some bit and the little dots somewhat spread. I didn't have any hot water to treat it with immediately so it didn't go away or anything.

But yea, it's been 6days and the burning has gone away but it just itches alot now. I've been applying itch releif lotion but thats it.

What do I do? I think I may have been allergic or something?

The stings are on the top of my right hand and on my left hand aswell.

don you just hate those darn anemones? i'm down to one and it's about to go too. they sting me and the sting and kill the corals next to them.
as far as you hand is concerned, that's a bummer, it's been a long time since the exposure so you are probably just on the mend. i'd keep my hands away from the beast or wear gloves in the future. the itch is probably caused by what ever "poison dart" that was injected in to you and your body is trying to expell and eliminate it. kind of like getting a sliver but a noxious one.
a worrisome reaction is swelling that is followed by difficulty breathing and since you don't describe that sort of thing i bet you are going to be fine....... just beware in the future.

Phew. Good to have some releif hehe.
Yea I'm breathing fine and what not. Just pretty annoying. Well, thanks for the tip and reassurance. I'll definetly wear gloves next time xD
