well, i guess they will be a nice addition to the sump then...the few i already have down there seem to like it....on a different subject, i live on the ocean and at low tide there are tons of snails that are in the mud and stuff, will it hurt to put them in my sump? i cant see spending 2.99 a snail just to put down there. they look like the narcicous snails only they are black.
I wouldn't add anything unless I had a solid, positive ID.

so, i found an old thread from 2000 on these guys and then did some more reading on them...from what ive read, i dont think it would be harmful to add them to my sump and think i may give it a shot. i think the most important thing will be to scrub off the shells very well?
It is your gamble, the thread is nine years old you know!!!!!!!!!

i love learning. no matter how small and insignificant all are Gods creatures...he just allows us to borrow them so we can realize how delicate life is and how badass He is to make a huge freakin ball called earth and make it work.....if He put that much thought into it the least i can do is spend a few hours a week cramming stuff into my peabrain...lol

I'll be honest with you. I have had at least 2 people in my club tell me straight out, "I don't read".
What I am supposed to think???

thats ashame...i mean, why do or have something in your life that you dont learn about so that you can experience it as close to perfection as you can get it...i guess its the same reason people get dogs and cats and birds....just to have one...life is about balance and responsibility. we are responsible for taking care of our home...not just house but our earth and all thats in it. unless we are doing all we can to give back we are no better than a virus...a virus finds a host and moves through it destroying what it can until there is nothing left and then moves on to the next giving back nothing....
ok, i got a little rambly there....
