Doesn't matter if you ramble or not, you haven't said anything that ain't true.

These people, especially one of them is continually buying livestock for the simple reason that she keeps killing livestock. She is no longer on my mailing list!!!! I will not put up with that attitude any more than I have to, plain and simple.

    Re: twisteds salty adventure

i agree...its that reason i have so few friends...my wife and i are involved with the local animal outreach program and foster cats and dogs so i see first hand how careless and incompassionate people are. life is life no matter how small...when a person disrepects any of it they begin to carry a karma that gets darker and darker the further they drift from what they were put on this earth for...we are not human beings seeking a spiritual experience but spiritual beings seeking a human experience...if we deny nature we have only spirit. and that soon fades away...when we embrass nature and life with love and the amazement like that of the look of a child we have found the beginning of the road to truly find ourselves. and that goes all the way down to our pets whether they be cats dogs fish or just a little hermit crab. we are all connected, its all the same energy...what a better way to see how awesome nature is than having a reef tank. a magnifying glass is one of mans greatest accomplishments!....lol

    Magnifying glasses can be scary!!!!!!!

Kudos to you and your wife on the animal outreach thing. I have never owned a dog or cat that wasn't out of a pound, 'cept when I was a kid. Pound doggies make the best pets!!!!! Just look at Willis and tell me that isn't a lovable dog???????

Willis is a status symbol here at reeflands, we all want that life, Charlie spoils him, I'm the same way with my pets, damn cats eat canned salmon for lunch on a daily basis, I get the dollar menu at McD's, still missing something here, I agree with both of you, some people just don't listen, and never will. Drag.

    But there is always hope.

    Re: twisteds salty adventure

the fostering is a full time job in itself! we have a blast though! at the moment we have 13 cats and 3 dogs. our program is hoping to have a no kill shelter within the next year. we have the property, now we need the building. our local petsmart lets us use their facilities for weekend adoption programs so we are very grateful for that.as crowded as my home is (everyone has free roam) its just one big harmonious family........seriously though, i wouldnt have my home any other way...heres some of the crew

we also have an alaskan malamute....yeah the dogs are outnumbered bigtime!...lol....they love the cats though...they all pile up on the couch together and play together and eat together...when we get new ones all the dogs and cats make them feel right at home...its hard though cuz we adopt out about 4 cats a month and its so easy to get attached...ten of the 13 have become permanent residents...i hope the shelter is built soon or ill have to move out to the shed...lol

    Beautiful dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is almost like all the animals know something, isn't it. If it wasn't for you and the wife, they wouldn't be. Know what I mean?

i certainly do! our pets love getting newcomers. i really believe they "know the deal"...we get alot of the hard cases and by the time they leave here they are nothing but love whores...lol....they also get a great experience with dogs and adapt well when they find a home. it is exhausting at times, especially between spring and fall when im working 70 hours a week plus 3 hrs a day set aside for them. but the plus side is i take 5 months off in the winter so there is plenty of time for the animals and some xbox...would you guess that the malamute is 15 yrs old? for an old boy he gets around like hes still a puppy...gotta be all them kittens he plays with...he was a rescue that was a chicken and cat killer...now he shares a dish next to two of his favorite cats.....

alrighty....i leave tommorrow for tenn. florida and then the bahamas till the 6th...i think i got all my bases covered and every emergency i can think of answered on paper. my tenant will be adding the daily makeup gallon thats already in gal jugs. overflow double checked in case of power outage. feedings days, times, and foods on paper and premeasured, days that get alk, phyto, elements already in jugs marked for that day. water change and tested, plenty of copeods and live food. lights cleaned inside and out. skimmers and jets cleaned. i let the algae build up some on the back glass to keep the lawnmower goby and other grazers happy. emergency numbers and my password to this site if he is concerned.....damn, i hope i can sleep at night while im gone

    Re: twisteds salty adventure

I'm surprised he was mean, he must have been abused, I've had actually 2, both from shelters, and had family that had one, none of them had a mean bone in their bodies, had a tendency to be a bit lazy now and then, but other than that, well quasar did have an attitude when I told him to get out of my chair, got the only a malamute can pull off look on his face saying F You, I can't wait till I can get another.

    Tanks,
    Robert

    Charlie,

    He's right,

After that post, Here's his prescription

2 weeks on super strong boat drinks, Dr. Robert highly recommends Frozen RumRunners, great stress reducers.

    Tanks,
    Robert
