Well, I finally gathered the guts to slice into some of our softies. Now we have a little family of frags, all glued to little pieces of rock. Dosed with extra iodine just in case, but hopefully they'll do fine. (Those yellow polyps get soooo little out of the water, and I discovered just why they call leathers leathers. One cut easily, but the other...)

I guess I shouldn't say "extra" iodine - we don't regularly dose anything other than Bionic. It's seachem's Reef Iodide, and was a suggestion we have heard. We also happen to have a whole bunch that was purchased at the beginning of this addiction that we might as well use.

The LPS's get shrimp or silversides whenever we remember, and the others get a pinch of golden pearls (a little goes a LONG way)

I usually use an iodine dip after fragging, I dip the frag into the solution for about 20-30 seconds before returning it to the tank. You can make a dip out of lugols or buy Tech D from Kent. I would be careful about adding alot of iodine to the tank (above recommended dosages) because iodine has antiseptic properties at higher doses. Happy fragging, Skip
