Didn't say you did, but some lfs if you ask they will tell you "oh sure go ahead they'll make", thats why I posted what I did

No offense taken,Actually I'm glad you said that.He might have taken it that way and added them.I should have said that myself.I'm kind of busy right now,just got done transferring my animals into containers so I could swap tanks going from a 30 to a 50.
I'm on break now.In a few minutes I'll put my foundation rocks and sand in.
There are a number of contributing factors to NO3 production in your tank, however removing the Bio Balls and using live rock will really help a lot. Using RO/DI water and a high quality salt with no NO3 like Tropic Marin will really help too. Some commercial dry foods also contain nitrates so I try and use fresh/frozen foods in my tank when feeding.
