Help
Okay, I have a 75 gallon aquarium on its way of becoming a reef and I don't know how the water movement should be focused. Should it be circular, all directions, towards the front? I have two very strong powerheads that up until now, I've had in a circular movement. My clowns look horrible as they are struggling against the current. Any suggestions or tips are welcome!

You don't want "current" so to speak, you want to mimic the wave action of the reef, some folks use wavemakers, that turn the PH's off and on at different intervals, some folks use a seaswirl or other type device, which is basically a PH with a rotating nozzle (sprinkler). You don't under any circumstances, want circular current, you want as much random movement of the water as possible. I would aim your Ph's directly at one another, their currents will collide and randomize to some degree. And yes, your clownfish are not happy struggling against a constant current. HTH...
