To be honest, I would fire that new fixture up, put on some sunglasses and sit back and say WOW!!!!!!!
If you do have photosynthetic critters in there now, watch your photoperiod, maybe cut it back to about 6 hours and work back to 10 or 12 week by week.

I do need a tan,I only have the Sun Coral and I'm sure it's adjusting to the new light,
don't want to give it sunburn yet.I'll give it a week or so,then put the sunglasses on.

Like I said, cut back your photoperiod when you fire them up, and gradually work back to what you are at now.

Not a lot to report, water change tomorrow.Lost one snail and Scarlet hermit, the snail due to it's inability to right himself and the hermit?Everybody else is fine. The T-5 lights will be put to use as soon as I receive the splash guard,Wednesday night probably. The temp.has decreased slightly need to adjust heater. One note,I had planned to use the Visi Therm Deluxe 150 watt, but it doesn't function properly. So I'm using a Stealth 100 watt.It is on the light side and if it can't keep up,I replace it with a 150 watt.

    Re: The McKay build thread.

I have found the skimmer I've been looking for the Deltec AP600 Skimmer. If anybody has used or has knowledge of this skimmer please post a reply.I can set it up next to my sump and gravity feed it from tank,or use a feed pump from sump. The footprint is just right.Just what I was looking for.Of course I will have to sell my right or left arm,I just can't figure out which one.

Don't worry about selling stuff for skimmers Steve, we had a guy sell his XBox bundle back for a skimmer here about 3 days ago.

I agree, he just needs to figure out which arm does the most work in the tank, and keep that one

Glad to see I'm not the only one that feels it's never to late to have a happy childhood, I'm kinda stuck with nintendo gcube at the moment, still trying to beat Turok, evolution, got a couple more levels and then I can upgrade, how is the ps3? seriuosly, i've played around with it at wally world while the wife is shopping, safer that way, is it worth the cash?

    Happy Holidays

It's the greatest,I have every PS game system. The graphics are unbelievable, the X-box was cheaper but the PS3 is better glad I bought it.Since we have pc's why get a X-box
if they come out with a game just for it,it will come out for pc too. When you get one you must get all the COD games their killer.

Gotcha, I'm a single person shooter and racing kinda guy, is COD single person?, I played an off road racing game at wally world that rocked, can't remember what it was called. I'd have to have it.

Where have you been in a cave or just sitting in front of your tank? It's a FPS (First Person Shooter.),in a way your lucky not to have heard of them, cause once you get one you won't stop.I've been a gamer for a long time and by far the COD games are the best.Your a lucky man if you don't have to shop with the wife, been there done that.
