    Question Identification

    i bought this soft coral from my neighborhood aquarium store and i forgot to ask what the name of it was... anyone know for sure? lol

    Judging from the photo, it doesn't look like a coral at all...it looks like a Heteractis magnifica or similar anemone. If it is anemone and you were looking to buy a coral and not an anemone, you may want to take it back.

    does it have a skeleton base, or just flesh attached to the rock?????

    I agree with yvr, it is indeed anemone and not a soft coral of any kind.
    Most likely H.magnifica or H.crispa. Hard to tell from the pictures provided.

    i think it is indeed an anemone because my clown started fiddling with a couple days into having it in the tank. thanks for the help
    just to know which one, what would be some of the differences between the magnifica and the crispa?

    some of the tentacles split into different branches sort of like a tree
