Hey everyone. Been a while since my last post. Tonight, my tank leaked out onto my carpet for a 3rd time, My BTA has splint in 2, and i have aiptasia just raping some of my rocks. Hows everyone else doing?
i wish. my return pump is faulty, so if it loses power of any kind, the prop gets stuck and stops spinning, and then the overflow over fills my sump and boom, soaked carpet. My BTA that was only like 3 inches, and it split a few days ago. but i have aiptasia just rampaging my rocks... annoying... and i still need to sell it all >:|
Just below the surface so the water coming out doesn't splash. Then when you loss power or turn off the pump to feed corals or for maintenance as soon as the water drops to the hole and sucks air it stops. You could also put the hole just above the water level and that would almost stop the water immediately.
Well it was April 1st ya know
I was thinking you had another leak, instead of overflow probs. Do what Steve says and you'll never have this particular problem again. It doesn't take much of a hole...1/8" or...just enough to let some air in and break your siphon. You should check it periodically to make sure nothing is growing on it and plugging it up, but it's a super simple fix!
