Just picked up the Aquasun T5 HO 48' lighting system for my tank. 145 total with bulbs, not to shabby :]

I dont have it set up on my tank yet. My canopy is going to get in the way of the normal brackets that the lights come with so im going to have to do some chopping of my canopy

OK problem... The brackets that came with the fixture doesnt fit on the rim of my tank... theres a plastic rim on the inside that sticks out that stops the brace from going into position... >_<

Im going to the LFS in about 30mins to get some bulbs. Any kind in particular i should get? Anything better or worse? and ill take some pics when i get home with the bulbs, its lookin like im gonna have to hang it from the ceiling.

At this stage of the game, use the bulbs it came with, you can always upgrade as you move along

Its a 2 bulb model, and didnt come with any.

That explains the price, thought it sounded to good, did you buy new? If so, jmo, take it back and get a pc bulb for your current fixture till you can get a min of 4 bulb or better yet 6 - 8 bulb fixure
