Unhappy Ripping a new A-hole

Well I am said to state that my name sake pass on today. My 1 1/2 year old porucpine puffer(marvin) died today after having a piece of shrimp get lodged in his anus yesterday. Before I left for church yesterday I noticed that he was tring to take a very large, poop. Well list night I noticed that it was still stuck in there, so I thought I would help him out with it, I reached in and grapped for him he moved away and out fell the piece of shrimp. his anus was around .25in. instead of his normal, 1cm. he looked a little slow this morning and my wife called before, she left for work and said that he looked bloated, well when she came home for lunch he was died floating on the bottom now very bloated. I think he might have ripped, something and died for internal bleeding. I just thought that getting this out to people who know what it feels like to lose something you love would help. Thanks for listening.

Unhappy

I'm so sorry for you loss. I know how difficult it is when something like this happens. But you did all you could do. I'm sure you provided a very happy home for your fish.

Marvin, I'm so sorry. It's losing a family pet and the grief can really hurt.

I lost my powder blue tang, Tangy-Too almost two weeks ago. I think I'm past the crying, but sometimes when I look at the acanthurus-less tank, I feel a huge wave of sadness.

I know some people think this is pretty pathetic, but I had to help myself deal with Tangy's death by getting a ceramic of a powder blue tang (and touching up the details with craft paint to make him look more realistic) and writing a memorial to him on the computer. His body is still in the freezer, I'm not ready to let go yet.

Yes, telling us here about your loss is helpful. We understand, and many of us have "been there". Sometimes friends and even our families think we're a bit off for grieving over a fish.
