So it is almost time for me to begin to stock my newly set-up 55 gallon tank which i am hoping to slowly turn into a reef aquarium. I have been thinking of my stocking list a lot lately and one of my main concerns is my Bennetts toby that i have in a 15 gallon tank right now. He is so personable and comical that i dont want to part with him but he is not suited for a 15 and i am not sure if he is suited for a reef. He lives in harmony as of now in the 15 with a peppermint shrimp and 2 damsels neither of which he has ever once nipped or attacked. Coral is nowhere near in his natural diet so im not too worried about him eating coral. What i am worried about is if he will make a feast out of my clean up crew. He has never bothered any of the hermits in his current location or the shrimp. I know no one will have a definite answer for me but if he is not showing aggression towards any of my inverts in small quarters what are the chances he will want to feast on them in larger quarters? also anybody ever try a toby in a reef set up? any and all opinions are greatly appreciated.
