Oh those 3 socket deals are my favorite!!!

Between two tanks I was running at least four of them... And what's so great about labels anyway??? Half the fun is seeing what quits working when you yank the plug out if you ask me! :eek3:

That's true Charlie and in fairness I shouldn't be bagging on the Nova, I'm sure it's a good enough light. Thanks for keeping me straight once again.

How am I doing so far???

He's supposed to call me later today with a price, assuming they will authorize him as a distributor.

Hopefully not but we'll see... He seemed pretty optomistic and said he'd been meaning to do it anyway as he is very impressed with their product.

    Re: The Metal 180 build

Ok, sorry for falling of with the updates but been really busy...

Got the 72'' constellation fixture!!! This thing rocks!

I was able to acquire a demo unit directly from AquaCtinics along with a nice assortment of some good UVL bulbs at a very good price. They are very good to work with and the quality of this fixture is top-notch to say the least.

Here's the bulb arrangement I'm starting with if anyone's interested, all UVL bulbs...

Front to back same on both sides (1-2-3 for the switches all with seperate cords)...
    (1) Super blue actinic
    (3) 75/25 Pro
    (2) Aquasun 10K
    (1) Actinic white
    (2) Aquasun 10K
    (3) 75/25 Pro
    (1) Super blue actinic

The colors really pop with this arrangement and the light is unbelievable! Sorry for ever doubting you Charlie and Parrot.

Don't miss the shimmer at all btw, in fact I prefer it this way due to all the flow... I had too much shimmer with the halides if there is such a thing.

I'll be breaking down the 90 this weekend and moving everything over to the 180 and the sand-bed to the sump. Pics coming soon!

    Metal,

Can you get some pictures up with the fixture and your tank? In addition can you get pictures up with the lighting modes you are going with?

I am getting ready to do my 180 and still on the sump design, and when that is done I will be doing the plumbing and finally ordering my lights. I was going between MH and T5 but really didnt want to deal with the heat and power usage of MH lights.

    Thanks
