Eddie try to take a picture of the coral so folks can get an idea of what it looks like, where it's positioned, lighting, and all that stuff. How large is your tank? What are the water paramators? Have you tested the water recently? How long has the tank been setup and how did you cycle it?
New Setup in progress. 75 Gallon reef.....still trying to figure out what I need. Your help is much appreciated.

    Its a hammer right?

Is it near any other corals that may be stinging it?

If your tank is only a "few months old", it is still extremely "new", and may not be biologically balanced.

    As CR said, More details.

    Other specimens being kept
    Water chemistry/parameters
    Acclimation process

    Details and pics please.
I swim with them, eat them, catch them, care for them, but never get tired of "them"....

You say your water parameters are fine,What are they?Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,ph,alk, phosphate,Ca,salinity,temp.,magnesium.How can you care for a coral that you don't even know the name of.Research before you buy.

Its hard to tell from this pic.

My bet is the hammer has some disease, and it will slolw spread to the healthy tissue, and kill off the entire specimen.

Your tank is pretty new. I would slow way down on adding more aquatic life.

Also, try and place the coral so all the tissue is up right. And make sure you have a steady current passing over the coral. If you see any gelatin type material around the tissues, I would try and break the coral a few inches above the affected area...and discard the diseased piece.

Make sure to keep the parameter perfect, and the water movement steady..not crushing, just well circulating.

Even with those steps, prognoses is not good.

    EDIT:

I looked at the video. The tank looks very nice. My bet is the coral at the very top is sending out stinging/sweeper tentacles at night and stinging the hammer.

Also the coral looks a little bleached. Is it a Green Hammer? WHen you bought it, how was the color. This could be a reaction to the sudden change in lighting intensity.

research brown jelly disease and see if it matches what you got going on, I'd do it quickly,

Re: help my coral is dying

Your tank may be a bit new to have stocked so quickly considering the fluctuating water parameters often associated with new tanks . The hammer may have a case of tissue necrosis. If you notice necrotic tissue on an LPS Coral, you canuse airline tubing to siphon off the dead/necrotic tissue. Then try a giving the coral a bath with an Iodine solution like TM Pro Coral Cure or similar product. The iodine will act as an antiseptic and hopefully kill prevent the spread of the tissue necrosis.
