I have been using Purple Up, and Kent Liquid Calcium. I alternate between the the two. Is there a better way to add calcium to the tank?![]()

You can't maintain calcium without equally maintaining alkalinity at the same time. They go hand in hand. Magnesium too has to be kept in range or you will run into problems with calcium.
I suggest you read Dr. Randy Holmes-Farley's article on how to choose a calcium/alkalinity supplementation method first before deciding which one is best for you.

If you got the cash...a calcium reactor is the way to go.
I use TM Bio Calcium and have had very good results in my mixed LPS and SPS tank. I find that being able to accuratley raise my Ca (one spoonful raises the calcium level of 5 gallons of water by 28 ppm) . The product is very convenient and takes much of the guess work out of dosing Ca.
