Never mind the clown killed the anemone.
I got yellow stripe clown and a condi/pink tip anemone, and the clown will keep picking and rubbing it till the anemone lets go. Then the clown will bite a tentacle and drag it behind the rock. Anyone ever have a similar experience? With the condi being photosynthesis it's not doing him any good behind the rock. should I separate the two some how?

Hi there,
I hope you realize that Condylactis gigantea anemone is not one of the ten anemones that clownfish accept as a host anemone. It is possible to have some of the clownfish to accept it as a surrogate host but it is a tricky poposition.
To learn more about anemones and the clownfish that they are hosting check out his article.

Hey Gene
I've always heard that and expected my clown to be either dinner or stung to death on the sand. And for some reason this clown has out lasted 3 condi's and every time the condi hosted him just fine. The fist one got attacked by red legged hermits, the second got crushed when the live rock toppled over during a cleaning and now this one he killed by dragging it around the tank. I'm going to buy bulb anemone next time, is there a chance he could the same? I know it's up to the clown fish but have you heard this before?
