    Aiptasia in my sump

I've got 1 aiptasia in my sump tank. He's been around for at least a year and I haven't seen any other ones. I tried killing him about a year ago, I thought successfully with a kalk injection, but after moving a few pieces of rock to my sump and a good year later, he's on the glass of the tank.

Should I try to remove him and if so, what would be the best way?

If he's strictly on the glass use a razor blade and scrape him off getting all of him.By now it is pretty big I assume so grab it with tongs keeping the tentacles away and scrape away. You could also inject it with concentrated orange juice the acid will kill him and not harm your tank.

Yea, he's about 1 1/2" long and about 3/4" wide...he's the only one I've ever seen and he is strictly on the glass. I thought about the razor blade method, but wanted to make sure. Thanks

Concentrated OJ is meant to be mixed with Rum = Rumpkins

Never heard of that one though, I start with razor blade

Boiling water yes, OJ is meant to be added very lightly to adult beverages

Only if you drink enough that you can't see him anymore

Do Aiptasia reproduce in the water column?

Aiptasia reproduction is both sexual and asexual.Asexually by Basal Laceration,in a nut shell it releases 30 to 40 very small clones of itself into the water column. Also if injured it can even regenerate from a single cell.
