Did you see that pic Parrothead posted, even though the one he posted is very clean does it look close to yours?
You should probably trap the crab then photograph it.
It's interesting what lifeforms you'll discover in your tank. I haven't found unpurchased crabs yet but some of the ones I've had...
a 9" worm (brown with 2 red stripes down it's side) that appeared to attack my sea hare. Sea hares fine now. Pulled the worm out.
a green sponge
Jellyfish. They look cool swimming around.
Good luck with your tank.
Seige,
Can I ask what you did with your jelly? I've heard of Jellyfish tanks but, never heard of anybody having any?
Rluix go to post 36 and look at that link. Parrot what the heck is a gorilla crab, looks like a nucler waste spill creature!!
Guess it could be a squat lobster, they have 3 legs. Who ever gets this right should win some sort of prize.
They are in my main reef tank with my fish and corals. The fish totally ignore them. The Jellyfish I have are fairly small. They range in size from about o to O.
They just float around the reef and will sometimes swim up to the surface. Sometimes they get sucked into a jet but it doesn't seem to harm them.
I took that fish out, he was a know it all. If you paid that much on your skimmer, I have some swamp land down in Florida I'm willing to sell ya. Big deal, I have a 12' x 4' x 4' fish only tank that's worth more than your section 8 aptartment, but I don't go around bragging it's cost, especailly when yours is so begginer looking.
OMG you spent $6,500 on that? With $6,500 you should have a lot more to show for it. Your tank looks like a beginer tank. I really hope you linked pics of the wrong tank.
Maybe you live on an island like that other member. Every item she bought cost her $100 minimum in shipping.
Yes, mushroom shaped. They pulsate around part of the time when they aren't just floating around in the jet stream. Mine are fairly translucent but they have a lil brownish tinge.
I can try getting a pic but it'll be difficult since the camera can't focus on them.
It's fun hunting for them but I'm pretty good now I can spot them from a few feet away most of the time now.
