    Unidentified nuisance???

I recently had a growth of about 40 of these little monsters growing on my live rock. I need help identifying them and killing them. I have attached a photo of them. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Re: Unidentified nuisance???

As best I can tell from the pic, expanded it gets kinda blurry, it appears to be some type of sponge, sponges can and do grow in our tanks, some last others don't, do a google search on marine sponges and see if you can find your critters
    Tanks,

Those sure look like sponges. They're normal. If you really want to get rid of them (though I can't imagine why) buy an angelfish.

    greg,

Don't be planting any seeds like that, we have no clue what size tank, it could be a 14 gallon bio for all we know, they might run out and get an adult emp. to mow the sponges, need more details
    Tanks,

Harmless Q-tip sponges. They probably won't last long anyway.

Q-tip sponges seem to be the culprit. Seems they are a good thing after further reading. No worries though, I know my limitations of what fish I can and can not put inside my tank.

Sorry about mentioning the angel, I was kind of being a smarta@@, but Robert's right, I should be more careful.
