A good photo would help to ID it,but more than likely it is a fan worm of some type. But this is just a guess.
Okay so i have recently been checking up on the creatures that have become noticed in my live rock. I have found and identified almost everything except this guy. I have been using this website Live Rock Hitch Hikers
So anyways this creature pops in and out of my live rock every five minutes or so, it is transparent/almost purple and looks like this

except it is in a rock.
So when i read on the website that this was a jellyfish polyp and that it was common for jellyfish to have polyps like this i freaked ha, so is this a jelly or some other filter feeder? please help thanks
and here is my picture of it, i apologize for the quality but maybe you can get the idea.

Yes, jellyfish have a polyp stage. That's the stage that follows the larval stage. It's possible that that's what it is if your live rock is fairly new, but, if it is that, it won't last long anyway.
Sorry, but I can't tell anything from your picture. If I ignore the first picture you posted and just take a guess based on your descritption, I would guess that it's probably just a small feather duster worm.
