Melevsreef.com - Welcome!
I am getting ready to order my 180 Gallon 6.x2x2 tank to replace my dead 90 gallon tank due to the winter storm.
I was going to either make it myself or have it made but need some cool ideas.
First I was going to use about 50 gallons for the sump and have the following sections.
* return section but easy access for filter bag because I am going without bioballs
* Maybe a thin section for filter pads instead of filter bag, want something for particle filter. I will be good on cleaning either filter on a few day basis.
* section for submerg skimmer
* section for refugium kind of want to go with small pieces of live rock for the base in this section and have plants that dont need soil for roots. Not a big fan of the miracle mud, maybe use live sand for soil if I cant use rock
* section for return.
Since I am going to have it made from scratch any advice would be great. I want some cool sections maybe for the heater, and other things I am not thinking.
So if anyone has cool pictures or designs to give me ideas that would be great.
