    Links to LPS coral information

Anyone who has stumbled (or searched extensively) upon some good LPS information out there, paste them links! If there are good threads on this site also let me know, I am not really finding a good deal of reputable information- Links to sites/articles/magazines/other forums/threads....anything goes!

Unfortunately, if it's anyone that's not a sponsor, you're not supposed to post a link to their store. (Ten bucks is ten bucks as Geddy Lee once said). If you have a specific LPS question there are LPS guys on the forum that are probably very knowledgable. I'm not very good with LPS myself. Just ask. Chances are someone on here has the answers you seek.

We don't have that rule on this board. That is true for some boards but it has never been the policy of this board to remove links to other boards or any links to any businesses provided they were put up by a member of this board who is not the owner or an employee of the business that is being recommended.

Obviously sponsors are allowed to post links to their business in their posts. That would be the exception to the general rule that owners or employees should not recommend their own business.

Members are also allowed to post their experiences, both good and bad, with any of the various businesses that cater to our hobby. On very rare occasions we have had to deal with members who disguised the fact that they were the owner of a business complaining about one of their competitors. Obviously something like that is never tolerated. If you are the owner or representative of a business catering to this hobby, then that fact must be made clear in any post you make commenting on something that is directly related to your business or the business of one of your competitors. In fact, if you are the owner or an employee of any business in this hobby, you should refrain from commeting on your competition.

Anyone is certainly welcome to post links to good information whether that information is on a commercial website or another reefkeeping bulletin board. In fact, we encourage it. So please link away.

P.S. -- Professional spam artists who are not even in the hobby and whose only purpose is to post spam all over the internet will be banned immediately and all of their posts deleted. However, this is not what we're talking about here.

Reef keeping is one of the only endeavors that going slow is actually faster.
