Sand for Refugium (Cant find Southdown)
OK - So I 'm putting my refugium together this weekend. Will put in some live rock, a bunch of feather and grape caulerpa I have and add the refugium kit from Inland.
What sand should I use? I want to encourage pod growth for feeding. Not sure I want to spend $50 on Miracle Mud and I cant find Southdown - I want to use the sugar sized. Is there a specific brand of sand I should buy i.e. CaribSea Aragomax, etc. Thanks |

Hi,
you can use any type of sand you want. Just make sure the particle size is correct. This should make things clear http://www.animalnetwork.com/fish2/a.../1/default.asp Last edited by reefhead; 07-27-2001 at 07:58 AM. |
