running for a year
running for a year
Since I can't pm you,
I've got to ask you in public, based on what you have posted, these are the only fish you had in your tank, now after a year, myself and everyone else here is gonna know better,
I really don't know how to say this without pissing you off, so I will just come out and say it.
If you want help be honest.
Tanks,
Robert

It does sound fishy. Yeah that was an intended pun. Sorry.
Our concern is for the livestock, and that you might be subjecting them to ammonia or nitrite spikes, whether it is a new tank, or not ready for a bioload for some other odd reason.
The message is... it is very easy to make hasty decisions that cause fish to needlessly suffer or die. For a hobby that is somewhat selfish, and robs these creatures of their natural habitat.
So we try to do the best by them, make the best decisions possible, and give them healthy and low stress lives.
So first and foremost, make sure you are not adding to a tank that is not yet properly cycled, whether it is a week old, or 10 years old and neglected.
Next, stick to smaller species that do not require a lot of tank space, or special requirements. And make sure that your choices are compatible, so they don't stress each other out, or kill each other.
So let's hear about your plan moving forward (the fish you might like to have), and we'll give you more feedback and suggestions.
Personally, I'd recommend a handful of blue/green chromis, two ocellaris clowns, a bicolor (or similar) blenny, and maybe a couple others. You'd add the above over time, not all at once.
When you move to a larger tank, you'd be able to keep these, and add some awesome larger fish that would still get along.
about 1 year
i had 5 good fish in there but i had to restart because i had to replace my sand so i got rid of my fish. they were in my tank for 2 months so its not a health problem.
Mike,
You are not giving us enough info,
When did you replace the sand bed?
When did you add the fish?
How much live rock and sand do you have in the tank?
I would love to help, I really would, but you do have to help me......................
Tanks,
Robert
