Looks good, what size is your tank. In the last photo it looks like a Electric Blue hermit crab trying to possible eat a bubble algae is this true.
Hi Steve, no I dont have a bubble algae, the Tank is 250L, the white anemone is a heteractis crispa, lots of folk on other forums are telling me it will die and kill everything else in the tank because it is lacking in zooxanthellae, do you know anything about this?
Also Steve how do I upload an Avatar for my profile?

What kind of lighting do you have on this 66g tank. Anemones require high lighting. In the mean time I will look into the species you have, I don't have much experience with anemones. In order for you to have a avatar you must contribute $10 or $25. This also gives you more privileges. If you wish to do this go to your User CP and click on Paid Subscriptions, it's on the lower left. Also what part of England are you from, I was born in Bristol.
Quick Stats: Sebae/Leather Anemone Family: Stichodactylidae
Range: Indo-Pacific
Color Form: Brown, Purple, Tan, Pink
Ideal Supplements: Iodine, Trace elements
Tank Set-up: Marine: Sand, gravel, coral rubble
Reef Compatible: Yes
Tank Conditions: 72-78ºF; sg 1.023-1.025; pH 8.1-8.4
Water Flow: Medium
Light: High
Dominance: Aggressive
Care Level: Difficult
Heteractis crispa is known as the Sebae or Leather Anemone. It was previously named Radianthus keukenthali. Heteractis malu may also be called the Sebae Anemone. Heteractis crispa is usually light tan to brown in color, and may have purple tips on its tentacles. Some may be entirely pink.
Acclimation to aquarium life can be very difficult for this species and its care should only be attempted by the most experienced aquarists. In the aquarium, it requires strong lighting, porous live rock, and a variety of sandy and rocky locations from which it can choose to live. The addition of a Clownfish, such as the Orange-finned Clown Amphiprion chrysopterus, Amphiprion sandaracinas, or Amphiprion perideraion will immediately help with its acclimatization and improve its chances of survival. When healthy, it will become very sticky. If it grasps onto something (or someone), it will be very difficult to convince it to let go without damaging it.
Once acclimated, it should be fed a diet of fish, worms, clams, shrimp, and other meaty foods once a week.
This might help.

Thanks for that info, I belong to so many forums like Living Reefs I dont think I will pay for an avatar, by the way I am from Essex, Upminster, how long have you been in the States?, My lighting I have 6 T5 lamps 4 white and 2 blue, but it is only 156w not too sure if it's enough, every thing seem happy though, the thoughts are at least 6w per gallon, my tank probably only holds 40g allowing the displacement of some 80kg at least of live rock, what do you think?

Since I was five, I lived in Bristol two years then moved to Dusseldorf for three then came to the states, so that's forty-five years. If you have 3' lights that's 234 watts. Watts is outdated now, now it's the amount of par being put out. If you have good bulbs you should be ok. I suggest Giesemann bulbs, an even number of Aquablue+ and Actinic+. The Aquablue+ are a 60/40 combination of 6,000K and 22,000K, the Actinic+ are 22,000K. If you have had the anemone for six months or longer it will be fine.

Hi Allen,
Lots of folks repeat information that they heard on the boards about bleached anemones being doomed to die in aquariums. Although it is quite possible but there is also a good chance that it can recover and regain it;s zooxanthellae.
Years ago I purchased bleached H.crispa at the store, simply because I knew it would die eventually if I didn't try to rescue it. Long story short, it took about 8 month to a year to regain it;s full health and it outgrew my old 75g tank in the next two or three years. I brought it back to the store I got it from and someone bought it for a larger tank. It was about 2 feet across...
Anyway, for it to recover you need to provide nutrition that would be provided by the zoxxanthellae otherwise. That means feeding, feeding, feeding... I fed mine silversides, a small fish that is sold in the fish stores under this name. Usually comes in a flats and it did wonders for my anemone. You can also try raw store bought shrimp, feed shells and all. I also fed small chunks of other marine fatty fish, including salmon's inards... My family looked at me funy but it worked.
In your control panel there is a link for supporting reefland, I think $10 or so allows you to have an avatar and unlimited gallery space. Also Steve how do I upload an Avatar for my profile?
Kind regards,
Gene.

Thanks Gene thats the first really positive response iv'e received, (have you seen the photo of the anemone?) she looks healthy enough and gets fed well, the 2 clowns have settled in to her well and attack me when I put my hand in, and they can bite, when she's fully open measures 150-180mm, wouldent want her to get too big for my tank, did I ought to feed her daily?
best regards Allen

Welcome to the wonderful world of clownfish keeping...
I used to have Clark's clownfish that I raised from a juvie size to an adulthood.., the only thanks I got from her was ocasional bite on my hands and arms. I got scars to prove it...
By the way, this was my anemone tank that I took appart this year.
Picture taken in 2006.
PS. Here's a picture of the H.crispa when I had it in my 75g tank.
Forgot to ask you what you feeding your anemone? You have to make sure that the food you are providing is really full of nutrition and there is no need to feed every day but every other day is OK if feedings are not huge in size. Make emphasis on quality and not quantity, and make sure to monitor water quality if you do increase feedings. ;)
Kind regards,
Gene.

Hi Gene, I am feeding the anemone on raw prawn, muscles, cockles, and frozen (defrosted) lance fish, seems to love the lance fish, what do you think? I am feeding daily should I cut back? did you see the photo of the white aanemone?
regards Allen

Allen,
The choice of food is excellent and should work very nicely. And yes, I've seen the images of your anemone. My H.crispa looked exactly the same as yours when I brought it from the LFS in 2002, in three to four years it was way too large to house in my tiny 75g tank, hence why I turned it in to the store again... Come to think of it they made money twice on the same anemone...![]()
I suppose I should have asked for better exchange than I did, but I was desperate to remove it from the aquarium at the time.
Oh, well...
As far as daily feedings, you can continue doing this until your anemone begins to color up (meaning regaining it;s zooxanthellae ). Just make sure to monitor water quality and stay with the water exchanges schedule. Once it starts to color up (you will see it getting some golden hues in the tentacles) you can feed it about two-three times a week. Then, once it is fully recovered, you can feed it weekly and a bit less of the food. If you continue to feed it daily it may and will grow huge...
Kind regards,
Gene.
