    Need to rise pH levels

Hi, I have a pH level of 7.8 on my fish & reef aquarium. I tried changing 20% water but it didnt work. I purchased a bottle of PH UP from API but I didnt realized that it said for freshwater aquariums.

Is there really a difference and is it safe to use it on my marine aquarium?
    Thank you!
    Jose.

How often do you do water changes and how much? Which salt mix do you use?

I've done 3 waternchangesnin the last 2 months. I don't know the brand name of the salt mix, Im going to check.
One thong though, I've checked the ph of my tap water and it's even more acid.

How much water did you change each time?

What salt mix did you use?

Did you use tap water for the water changes?

If you are using tap water for your water changes then that is your problem. You can not use tap water for water changes or topping off your tank because of evaporation. You must use ro/di or distilled water. If you were using ro/di or distilled water and a good salt mix (Instant Ocean Reef Crystals suggested) your PH would more than likely be about 8.2.
