First Coral

First addition to my tank.
A Kenyon Tree Coral
Can't kick about the price it was free.
When I get up in the morning it's a small ball but expands to look like this after a hour or so
with the lights on. Anyone know if this is normal??

That looks just like my first coral! After awhile it will shed off a small piece of branch to reproduce. I was so excited the first time it did that. I stuck it in a rock crevise so it would attach and blam free coral, what a score. The next thing you know that puppy was shedding off those buggers left and right, ahhhhhh, please stop. Good first coral, you could mow it down w/ a lawnmower and it will come back.
