Definitely the meter, my well water has always been 6.6-6.8 , made keeping South American Cichlids easy.
My meter reads it as 7.7 water test kit reads 6.8.
I'll be sending the meter back
I got this meter because my water test kit cannot tell the Ph above 8.4 and it seemed to be a round there
all the time , however the colors from 8.0 to 8.4 are close.
Any suggestions for a good one?

First chalk one up for Parrot, thanks Parrot. The API PH test kit tests PH up to 8.8.

Yes, that's what I thought it could be from. Regardless, though, I feel that two buffering solutions should be used if you want to calibrate electronic probe/electrode in any pH monitor, or packet tester. I would try to get something diferent, like this one, for example, if you like to stick with the packet type tester.
