my tank

well i'm new to the site. some tank info for you

72x 24x 24(LxWxD) which is 1100 ltr give or take
sump is 36x12x12 (LxWxD) is 85 lrts

total tank volume is 1185 ltr

got 43 kg of sand for a 1 inch covering got bout 200 kg of lr in total
going though abit for a hair algae phase at the min with the tank

lighting is 14 aquarays tiles
will get some pics up when u hair algae has gone

well i have had a bit of a day from hell. finish work this at 9 am not 2 weeks off yay. getting back to my day well came home to find my tank had cracked and it was all over the floor. so lucky enough for me i was breaking down my bigger tank to be sold but it was still running with a few corals snails and crabs in it.

so after running up and down the cellar stairs bout 10 times manage to get all of my stock back into it losted a few corals and my breeding pair of jawfish (gutted) and 2 yellow tangs. i have put some of the lr back in to it but the rest is in drums.

so 2mora action plan is to get all the hair algae off the lr before it goes back in to my bigger tank and see if i can fix the other one it needs a new front glass. might fix it and sale that one instead. which would be better for me and the fish.

abit of a poo day bit it could have bin alot worse

thanks steve. just got all the pipes and sump out most of it good and will i find a use for just abit gutted bout the my jawfishs i have had them for 2 years

well got my tank fixed and have got a new pair of jawfish. don't really know what to do at the min weather to set it up again and sell my big one or not can't really afford 2 big tanks so one needs to go.

well the big tank is going and i'm keeping the 72x 24x 24 tank going start it back up 2mora going get some coral sand in the morning then its all systems go will get some pics up soon.

Just make sure its sand not crushed coral. We'll be waiting for photos.

i have always use crushed coral sand and never had any problems

well tank is now back up and running put sand in and sw 2day (yeah i did use crushed coral sand sorry steve) just going wait for it the get up to temp and then start moving things across

That's not your tank, that's the Great Barrier Reef. The tanks look really good, I think you may have more different corals than anybody I know. I see you have one of my favorites the Blue Reef Chromis, Chromis cyaneus. The Birdsnest Seriatopora, hystrix looks good may be getting one soon myself.
