Hello, all: a nice surprise today: bought a huge 12 lb chunk of live rock for my former 10 gal quarantine tank: great piece with big tunnels & holes all of the way through it. It sits dead center in the tank on top of a 3" southdown DSB.
Well, I am looking all over for my diadema pseudo, because I'm afraid that I crushed the little bugger, when I find him in the big cave in the middle of the rock with a 3" pistol shrimp! He's a pinkish /orange color with lavender legs and a bright purple dot on each side of his body, outlined in white. Very cool looking. Anyone have any idea which goby would pair up with this guy? The LFS said that he was in the store for about a year, and they tried a number of gobies with no luck. I ended up with him as a bonus hitchhiker. One neat thing: since I had to take the rock out to give a 1" mantis a freshwater squirt, I basically had to shake the fish out of the cave & Senor Pistola came out as well. Upon his return to the tank, instead of zipping back inside the cave, he chose a hole right up front, and half inch from the substrate. Hope he stays, since this will be a nice place to watch him! ------------------ I'm into nano-reefing, Amano style freshwater plants, orchids & anything else that's nail-biting, difficult & frustrating to keep! I'm in Park Ridge,NJ / Chestnut Ridge, NY : top of the Garden State Parkway! |

Watchman goby, Leopard Goby and sometimes sleeper gobies, I have heard that they will pair w/other gobies too....but I think these are your best shot....Good luck
