Hi yall hi was wanting to remove my favia frag I have had for a while off of it's plug and place it directly on a piece of live rock. How should I go about this and what should I be carefull for as to not kill it off.

I would think you could just glue the plug to the rock. You might just have to flatten the bottom of the plug first. I'm sure its possible, but removing the frag from the plug might cause damage to the frag. Hopefully someone with more experience than I will chime in and have suggestion. Good luck.
*The only experience i have with frag plugs involved zoas and paly's. So i just flattened the bottom of plug and glued it directly to the live rock. the plug will eventually get covered with algae or something. zoas in pic below (not the best pic but plugs should be visible) are still on their plugs....

You can do it one of two ways. Either as mentioned above by glueing the frag plug directly to a piece of live rock, or usually you can pry off the coral frag from the tile or plug using a knife, screwdriver or even your hands. I would refrain from handling the coral as much as possible and try to avoid injuring the corals tissue or you run the risk of injury or death of the coral.
