    Tank update

My tank now is about 6 month old. Have 2 clowns , 1 Royal Gamma , some corals got a great buy on corals 6 frags for $75 free shipping. My original coral the Kenya Tree is making more . I have all kinds of little bugs and baby snails.
So if you folks have time I have a few questions.
    1. Is it time for an anemone? If so what would be a good beginner one ? Bubble tip of some variety?
    2. I have a Bernese Mt. Dog it sheds like you can't believe. Should I put a cover on my tank to prevent dog hair from getting in. I think that's what I find on my power heads from time to time. Covering the tank would be good / bad?
    3. A FS guy told me to put some sand in the buckets that I use for water top-off . He claims that some of the sand will dissolve in Ph=7 water and when you add your top-off water it will replace any Ca loss. Is this bull**** or what?

    Thanks in Advance
    Vin

    Vin,

What size tank do you have again, isn't it a 90,

    1. Ane. with care, caution and research.
    2. Covers can hinder oxygen exchange at surface levels.
    3. sounds fishy to me, unless your top off water sits around for a long time the small amount of ca. that will leach out of the sand isn't gonna be all that helpful. JMHO

Sounds like things are coming along nicely
    Tanks,
    Robert
