Get a small fan and point it towards it. You'll be surprised how much that helps. Also I pointed a power head at the surface to get a little more heat exchange it worked great for me.
My nano reef tank is too hot. (appx 82 degrees F) I removed the glass cover and replaced it with egg crate and I'm keeping the lights (metal halide) off a larger portion of the day. I still can't get the temp below 80. Any suggstions?

Great recommendations, just be sure to keep an eye on the salinity because there will be a lot more evaporation.
