My tank has been set up as a fish only w/live rock for about a year. 4 months ago I started adding soft coral frags. All are doing fine but one. My leather coral is messing up my tank with <mucas? long strands of brown algae looking stuff. WAG>. Does this mean that this coral is under some kind of stress? It has been in my tank a couple of months now, and has just started this behaviour.
I have the following:
Equipment:
Fish:
- 20 gallon Nano glass tank.
- GLO hood with 1 HO T5 actinic Marine-glo and 1 HO T5 Power-glo. Both 24w 4 months old. Lights on 12 hours daily.
- Temp 80f
- salinity 1.024
- My reef test kit, and my LFS both claim my water parms to be what they should be.
- 20 lbs argonite sand bed.
- 20 lbs live rock
- Protein skimmer
- E-Heim cannister with carbon and a Poly-Filter. Causes a good rate of flow also.
Corals:

- 2 small Tomato Clowns
Clean up crew:
- Several Mushroom polyp colonies (have divided twice so far).
