Slow night so I thought I would throw up a picture. Tank is over a year old now. 29gal with no sump, just a HOB 4gal refugium and skimmer all in one. seems to work. Have some alge issues, but always have.

Bravo !!! Nice looking tank...
Thanks Enoch.
I've had a good stable tank with this set-up. Not a ton of investment either.

Looks good thanks for up a picture.
Hi Chas
What is the brand or refug you have? i have a 29g with just a h.o.t. magnum and also have algae problems. I think my maintenance problems may eased a bit with more cleaning help.

I have an Ecosystem Pro 40 refugium and skimmer combo. It is the same thing as the CPR Aqua Fuge that you can google and see what it is.
See attached pictures. I think it works quite well if you don't want to go the entire sump route. Although I believe the sump is better. Hind sight is always 20/20. But my set-up seems to work quite well.

Chas,
Looks good. I think I'll do some googling and check out prices.
The stand that I am currently using for my tank is one that I got at walmart and it doesn't have an open bottom to allow me to have a full sump. So unless I put one on the table beside my tank I figured I could do without. I like your double double ballast.. it really brightens the place up doesn't it! I have the same light but only one of them.
Everything looks so shiny and clean in your tank. I struggle to keep my substrate white and clean and my rocks free of algae. I finally just got the red slime under control. Once I switched to the t5 from regular aquarium lighting i got a nice surprisethanks for listening

Add that second light if you can. you will be glad you did.

That's a really nice setup. I have a sump myself but it only has room for a skimmer. i think i'll get a hang-on fuge in the future. That's a nice selection of corals.
