I have a new 55 gal tank that will be my fist reef aquarium. I have a DSB in the refugium, live sand in the display, and I placed about 75 pounds of fully-cured LR--when I say fully cured, I'm serious. The LFS has it in a pond-like tank that is full of fish, and there is life all over the rock. I put it quickly into my tank, and there was virtually no die-off; all of the little zoanthids and tiny corals and hermit crab the came on the rock are still doing very well after four days. There was a slight ammonia read the first day, but by the next, ammonia and nitrite were at zero and there was a slight read on nitrate. That has been the holding pattern ever since. Finally, the questions: Can I add a fish now? I was thinking either a green clown goby or a clownfish.
