I have one and I love it. It has a protein skimmer built right into the filter sump. The blue area that you see on the right side of the sump has the different chambers for filtering(1. The top layer holds two spongey pads...one white and one a carbon pad; 2. The middle chamber holds blue bio-balls; 3. The bottom chamber has a small bag filled with activated carbon and below that there is a bag of "Sintered Glass Bio-Cylinders" which look like some kind of small pvc pipe). I rate this product a 5 out of 5 stars(where 1 would be worst and 5 is best). Also it has a built in feature so that if the power goes out it cuts the syphon so water doesn't continue to flow down to the sump and overflow it.
