    Enemone poop

Hi. Just a quick question. When an anemone expels waste does it look like little brown balls? Or is that zooanthellae? I have been told both. I just wanted to clear it up. I have been told also that the zooanthellae when expelled would like more like a cloud or a brown cloudy or slimy substance, where waste or poop is what the little brown balls are. Anyone know for sure ?

I have a GBTA and when it drops a deuce, it looks like stringy solid waste. I haven't witnessed brown balls so I'm afraid I'm no good to there.

It's likely the 'brown balls' are waste products. What do you feed your anemone?

excess zooxanthellae is usually expelled as stringy brown 'goo' that ends up floating away and breaking up.
