Versa tops off or on ?

i was just curious i have my versa tops off of my 90 for quite a long time so i can fit my overflow box and power filter as well as wires to my power heads( the types that have a fan and kinda look like a small barell) should i put it back on i know its a slighlty wierd question but just curious the pros and cons. i took it off cause i was geting a bit of salt creep blocking some light and i was told its better for oxogen exchange. how important is it for the tops to be on

WHATS UP JESSIE! The only reason I would have a cover on my tank would be to keep my wrasse or jawfish from jumping out. I would go with the new do it yourself 1/4 inch framed screen instead of the 1/4 plastic ceiling grates. You are right aqbout oxygen exchange.Happy Reefing!!!!!!!!!!!

Another good reason for him is in another post he says he has a snowflake eel, aka escape artist, don't know if its in this tank but better keep covered if it is.

well my snowflake hasnt jumped out luckily and spends most of his time on the bottom pokeing out of one of maybe 7 spots ive seen him come out for food however its always been a concern do you have a pic of the 1/4 inch framed screen the only tops i have are the glass types

How long have you had the eel?

Hi Jessei; The screen spline and track can be purchased with the corner clips at Home Desperate or Lowes. Also the roller would make it easier to roll in the spline.I think I saw the idea on U-Tube or Reef Builders web site. Good Luck!

i got the eel in september or august he has lived peacefully with my clown goby, fire shrimp and cleaner shrimp ( the ones id expect to be on his menu) he has grown from maybe the size of a dime thickness to maybe a nickels thickness/roundness
