Good job twisted!!! Glad your fighting through the meltdown. Some folks might have throw in the towel. Glad your tanks rebounding. Pictures look great. I was worried your setup is one of the few I subscribe to. Keep up the good work your dedication shows.

Thanks okie. It was really discouraging but I'm a stubborn sob....lol
Other than cyano the tank has fully recovered. This weekend we are going to pick up a few new fish for the tank. And a blue spot jaw for the cube. Can't wait!

Whelp, cb is in my new folwr cube, red coris in a friends tank, now i just gotta get the flame angel out and my tank is reef safe once again!

Thanks Chris, it used to be way cooler before the Dino's killed most of my corals. It's coming back around though. I just can't seem to get rid of this brown slime that is growing on my rock and sand. I dont think it's diatoms but I'm stumped

Same thing happened to me also. Bag said rinse a little at a time, and I got in a hurry. Ended up draining the tank as well. Once I got rid of all the silica, it is working great. Beautiful set up though (very jealous), I only have a 55 gal. I did take the wife to the LFS though and she had a blast. They have a very nice store. Got my fingers crossed on a bigger tank as well.

If my tank was new, it would b that. I've got some kind of bacteria or something. I'm hooking up an extra skimmer and gonna keep up with weekly wc's and hope it works out

I've thought of that but try not to add things to fix issues. I'm hoping it's just from under skimming and if it goes away with an added skimmer I'll have to rethink my sump set up. I change 20 gal a week and am sure my wtr quality is good due to quick healing fish healthy corals and testing. Maybe I need to take another look at my ro system..... I'll get to the bottom of this eventually....lol
The brown doesnt seem to effect anything so I'm not worried but it just looks uglier than pretty coralined rock.... Lol
